Teachings Assistants Beware: You May Be Next!

As real unemployment and underemployment numbers continue to look dismal the technology factor and automation continue to be ignored by most economists. Technological innovation has historically been ambivalent where employment is concerned: sometimes generating more new jobs than it replaces, sometimes not. But with the seemingly unstoppable march of Information Technology and the ready availability of faster and faster computer processors the newer sciences of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics have begun to replace not only line workers in factories but higher order jobs as well. Robotic Teaching  has arrived.

So, as you contemplate your career path or vocational transition keep the technology factor in mind. How much longer will you be needed before you become obsolete? Teaching Assistants, beware: you may  be next.
