Jesse Ventura on the Alex Jones Radio Show - Part 1

Alex Jones of Infowars.com interviewed the 38th Governor of Minnesota on the Alex Jones Radio Show in mid-March. The former World Wrestling Federation star talked about his renewed record-breaking Conspiracy Theory show on truTV.  "This is my personal journey," Ventura says, "to prove that there is more to these stories than you know about."

People Are Coming to FreedomFriends!

All over the world people are tired of being lied to, cheated, scammed, defrauded and terrorized into submission by Big Government, Big Business, Big Media, Big This and Big That. A party is brewing and it's coming together in cyberspace. Welcome to FreedomFriends!

For years we've heard about globalization. "We Are the World." But sometimes it seems that "we" are left out of that "We." Globalization that was supposed to bring the world together is causing more division than unity. We are always on the brink of one disaster or another: Global Financial Collapse, Global Climate Change, Global Peak Oil, Global Terror, Global Pandemic, Global This and Global That. The top-down approach of the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the Bank for International Settlements and numerous other non-governmental organizations (NGOs) is not working.

But we -- the butcher, the baker, the barber and grandma and grandpa -- CAN change the world. From the bottom up. One person at a time as we meet, connect and share at FreedomFriends.com. We're calling it "friend-to-friend globalization."

They're coming to FreedomFriends!

The Historical Setting for FreedomFriends.com

When Peter Corrao and Rob Argento joined heads in late summer of 2009 they saw an opportunity to create the world's first patriot commons in cyberspace. The result, after much contemplation and legal homework, was FreedomFriends.com, bringing together under one roof social networking and freedom concerns on one website.

Pete and Rob came to the same conclusion as other noted free thinkers like Ron Paul, Ralph Nader, and former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury Paul Craig Roberts that "the machine" up in Washington, DC -- both "left" and "right" wings of it -- had degenerated into a two-headed self-serving monster that was no longer capable of yielding to the will of the people. Endless military occupations, uncontrolled borders, sold-off port operations, extra-constitutional commerce and political relationships with other nations, "free-trade" agreements, government intrusions on American citizens, federal health-care plans, banker bailouts, credits for offshoring of entire US industries, chronic underemployment, so-called "man-caused global climate change" and more signaled a slowly dissolving republic threatened with the loss of national and personal sovereignty. Ever expanding globalization and an emerging "new world order" were increasingly being seen as an enemy of all national constitutional republics. The solution soon became obvious: Americans and freedom lovers everywhere needed to come together across political divisions and unite for national and personal sovereignty. United we stand, divided we fall.

The following short movie briefly illustrates the historical setting for the formation of FreedomFriends.com. We are proud to introduce FreedomFriends.com as the place in cyberspace to make friends, join groups, create events and stay free!

FreedomFriends.com: Where Free Minds Meet.

Judge Napolitano: What is Freedom?

The Judge offers his own take on the perennial teaser: What is Freedom? Good question, hmm?

We here at FreedomFriends invite you to tell us, what is YOUR idea of Freedom? Freedom can mean different things to different people. To the Wall Street investor freedom might mean free enterprise. But to the aspiring videographer or pop song writer freedom might mean the freedom of artistic expression. For many of the first European settlers in America freedom very much meant freedom of religious choice and public religious expression.

For FreedomFriends partner and Managing Editor Rob Argento freedom means, among other things, the freedom to keep private information private. That means, "Government: KEEP OUT!"

So...What about you? What does freedom mean to you?

Let's Help the Terrorists Make a (Dis)honest Living? Yes, For a Higher More Noble Purpose. Ugh!

For years alternative news has been claiming that the United States government was involved in aiding the illegal drug trade. Of course this was denied and labeled "conspiracy theory." Now the government comes right out and admits, in effect, "Of course the US government is involved in drugs. But that 's because we're the good guys trying to help good people make a good living in a nation harboring terrorists. Surely you understand, don't you? DON'T YOU??"

What next? Will the US government say that they are helping Bangkok traffic in sex slavery because that's the only way those poor sex traffickers know how to make a living?

What can these people NOT justify?

By the way, I wonder if that poor Black kid in LA who gets busted on heroin charges can argue in court that he's just helping the Afghan opium farmers make an honest living by increasing demand for their "product."

If you still have enough mind left to read this brief commentary, you can readily see just how wicked and twisted "thinking" can get.

Judge Napolitano Crosses Fox on Arizona's New Immigration Law

Napolitano:
"Ah, Hispanics -- who have a natural home in the Republican Party because they are socially conservative -- will flee in droves. She's also gonna bankrupt her state, because no insurance company will provide coverage for this. And for all the lawsuits that will happen -- for all the people that are wrongfully stopped -- her budget will be paying for it. Her budget will be paying the legal bills of the lawyers who sue on behalf of those that were stopped."

"Why Am I Doing The Wall Again Now?" -- Roger Waters, Pink Floyd
” What it comes down to for me is this: Will the technologies of communication in our culture, serve to enlighten us and help us to understand one another better, or will they deceive us and keep us apart?
-- Roger Waters, 1988

"I believe this is still a supremely relevant question and the jury is out. There is a lot of commercial clutter on the net, and a lot of propaganda, but I have a sense that just beneath the surface understanding is gaining ground.  We just have to keep blogging, keep twittering, keep communicating, keep sharing ideas.

"Thirty years ago when I wrote The Wall I was a frightened young man. Well not that young, I was 36 years old.

"It took me a long time to get over my fears. Anyway, in the intervening years it has occurred to me that maybe the story of my fear and loss with it’s concomitant inevitable residue of ridicule, shame and punishment, provides an allegory for broader concerns.: Nationalism, racism, sexism, religion, Whatever!  All these issues and ‘isms are driven by the same fears that drove my young life.

"This new production of The Wall is an attempt to draw some comparisons, to illuminate our current predicament, and is dedicated to all the innocent lost in the intervening years.

"In some quarters, among the chattering classes, there exists a cynical view that human beings as a collective are incapable of developing more ‘humane’ ie, kinder, more generous, more cooperative, more empathetic relationships with one another.

"I disagree.

"In my view it is too early in our story to leap to such a conclusion, we are after all a very young species.

"I believe we have at least a chance to aspire to something better than the dog eat dog ritual slaughter that is our current response to our institutionalized fear of each other.

"I feel it is my responsibility as an artist to express my, albeit guarded, optimism, and encourage others to do the same. To quote the great man, 'You may say that I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one.' ”

-- Roger Waters, 2010

The Bait-and-Switch of Professional Politicians

Bait-and-switch. We've all seen it. They advertise what they know the buyers want in order to bring us in. "Computers! Microwave ovens! LCD HDTVs! Everything on sale! 50% Off! One day only!"

Next day you get there and you can't find anything you want at 50% off. "Where'd everything go?" you ask the sales rep. "Sorry, we got wiped out 50 minutes after opening the door." Bait-and-switch.

Politicians do the same thing to us. Remember George W. Bush? "I'm a uniter not a divider. I don't know about NAFTA. I'm not into nation-building." So we elect him and what do we get? The most divided public in our nation's history; CAFTA on top of NAFTA; and nation-building in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Obama? Same thing. Remember "First thing I'm gonna do is bring the troops home?" Check out this clip if you don't remember. And then remember. And next time you go to vote, don't forget. Don't get baited again. And again. And again.

The Tax Policy Center Wants to Tax Our Way Out of the Deficits

The Tax Policy Center is a joint venture of the Urban Institute and Brookings Institution. The Center is made up of nationally recognized experts in tax, budget, and social policy who have served at the highest levels of government. They are funded by a whole swarm of foundations, the Ford Foundation and The Rockefeller Foundation among them. In short, the Tax Policy Center is a big think tank for the government and its wealthy sponsors.

In this video Rosanne Altshuler, director of the Tax Policy Center, discusses the U.S. deficit and potential revenue-generating solutions. She admits that in the current economic situation it "is not clear that this is going to be a recovery where there's a lot of jobs...If the economy doesn't grow fast enough we are in an unsustainable situation."

So, what is her solution to the problem? "One is cutting spending; and the other is raising taxes...I'm more optimistic that we could raise taxes...We can't think that we're going to be able to raise the revenue that we need just on the backs of the rich." She also does not want to raise corporate taxes. By now you can probably guess who is going to see big tax hikes. Or watch the video and find out.

Deneen Borelli of Project 21

Deneen Borelli is a Fellow with Project 21, a network of black conservatives which is an initiative of The National Center for Public Policy Research, a national public policy group based in Washington, D.C.

In her role, Borelli promotes the importance of personal responsibility and the benefits of free market policies as a means for social advancement. Her commentaries on the importance of freedom and limited government have been published by newspapers such as the Los Angeles Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, Chicago Tribune, Sacramento Bee, Baltimore Sun, Washington Examiner and Washington Times.

The free trade policies of recent administrations have resulted in persistent industry loss and job relocation from the United States to less developed countries. Former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for President Reagan, Paul Craig Roberts, has warned that these jobs are not coming back. In this appearance Borelli argues that temporary or part-time job creation will not provide a long-term solution to permanent job losses due to government policies of de-industrialization and overbearing environmental regulation.
