Beck to Kurzweil: "Are We Ready For This!" (Part 2)

We can now treat our biology as information processes. We have this outdated software running in our bodies. — Ray Kurzweil

CNN Jul 2008 | Ray Kurzweil is arguably the greatest American inventor since Thomas Edison and has been referred to by Forbes as "the ultimate thinking machine." He is credited with significant advances in everything from optical character recognition to speech recognition technology and lots in between. But perhaps his most controversial work is in the areas of artificial intelligence (AI) and transhumanism. Transhumanism? Yeah, that's right. Betcha can't wait to find out what that is!

Strap yourselves in and hang on to your hat. You're about to learn the destiny of humankind. Or at least how Ray hopes it will all turn out. Listen up as Glenn Beck probes one of the most intriguing—and disturbing—minds ever to visit planet earth.

So, is transhumanism what Christian theologians are thinking when they talk about "the new Man" or are we talking something sinister here? Glenn is not sure. Tell us what you think.
