Welcome to FreedomFriends!

FreedomFriends is a community for liberty lovers everywhere who believe in freedom of expression, freedom of religion, and freedom from tyranny. Freedom lovers from all over the world are coming to FreedomFriends to celebrate liberty, to connect and share, and to work together for a freer, safer, and more stable world.

FreedomFriends gives space and voice to the mushrooming patriot and freedom movement now being witnessed on a global scale.

In the United States of America patriots are coming together to stand up for three traditional doctrines of the American way:

• The Declaration of Independence, which declares the sovereignty of the individual and the nation state.

  We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

• The Constitution of the United States, which is the supreme law of the land and restricts the United States government to certain specified duties.
• The Bill of Rights, which together with the Constitution specifies certain civil rights of the individual which the government may not abrogate.

Freedom lovers of many other nations, also, are coming together around their own traditional doctrines guaranteeing national sovereignty, constitutional law, and civil rights.

This growing patriot revitalization seems to be a response to what many view as out of control globalization and an emerging one world system, a system characterized by a unified world economy with a single currency, a planetary environment management system, and a global police force to repress nationalist movements.

Some of you are coming to FreedomFriends to socialize with other members. Others join for a sense of belonging and bonding and national identity that they don’t find elsewhere in cyberspace and visit regularly to keep up to date with news and culture.

Large numbers of patriots will want to use Groups and Events to connect and collaborate on liberty projects of either local, national or international scope. You might, for example, be an author seeking a publisher, a filmmaker seeking a producer, or a political organizer building a third-party movement.

Those of you who are initially attracted for social or cultural benefits might find yourself gradually drawn into the deeper currents of FreedomFriends once you begin to recognize that the cultural liberties and material affluence many of us take for granted are being threatened by the political movements of the day.
