by Rob Argento A recent poll of over one thousand adults by Xavier University asked: "Is it harder to reach the American Dream than it was for your parents?" The results might surprise some:Harder   60%Easier   33%About the Same 6% Even though the poll did not define what the American Dream is it is still disappointing that so many find the Dream harder to achieve today than a generation ago. by Rob Argento In  the recent film "Up In The Air" actor George Clooney stars as a corporate hatchet man, a sort of hit man for-hire who specializes in downsizing a company's head count by slickly and detachedly playing out the same script, over and over again. by Rob Argento In the clip below Peter Schiff comments on extending unemployment benefits for up to 99 weeks. Says Peter, "That's creating more inflation, because the money that pays the unemployment benefits has to be printed, because we don't have it, we're running a huge deficit. Meanwhile the more money we give people to remain unemployed the longer they're going to stay unemployed. The more attractive we make it for people not to work the less likely it will be that they will go out and work." Video:

Their discontent over President Obama has sometimes characterized him as "communist" and sometimes as "fascist," but either way the Tea Party has had it with big, bad, out-of-control central government, high taxes, illegal immigration, and Washington's general disregard for due process under the Constitution. The Internet represents the first public commons for many nations -- including America -- in a long time. Before the advent of radio and TV ("broadcast media") citizens gathered in town halls, pool halls, churches or public parks and enthusiastically discussed the issues of the day among themselves. This was "peer-to-peer" conversation.
